I’ve started to realize that traditionally making good drinks is not enough anymore. There are so many cafe in vancouver, as a mass market, and people have a lot of choices, and because of that, digital marketing is becoming really important.

One thing I have noticed is that most people don’t just walk into a cafe randomly. It is built through impression, throughout searching online first or seeing it on social media. For example, when I look for a new place to try, I check the Google Maps, reading reviews, looking at the photos on Instagram.

Another way digital marketing helps is building a brand. It’s not just about selling coffee, but also showing the feeling of the cafe. Things like the atmosphere, the style, or even the story behind the cafe can be shared through social media. This helps people feel more connected to the place before they even visit.

I also think digital marketing makes it easier to understand customers. By looking at how customer are engaging on digital, on Social Media, on Ads, how the metrics tell the customer behavior.

Overall, I believe digital marketing will play a big role in my cafe business in the future. It’s not just an extra skill, but something I need to learn if I want my cafe to grow and stay competitive.
